The thought of having a bee sting scares most people because of the effects it would have on them. It’s always advisable to remove the bee stings within fifteen minutes after the sting. But most people do not know how to remove it and end up pumping more venom into their body. Tools required: Tweezers or blunt knife, hand sanitizer and gloves. You will also need antibacterial soap, baking soda and Ice cubes. Itching/reducing materials such as pain killers or other natural products are also required.

Remove the sting from the skin: This should be done immediate after the bee stings. Carefully remove the sting using a blunt tweezers or knife by gently scraping the sting against the skin in the opposite direction of the sting entry.

How to reducing the swelling:

Place 2-3 ice cubes in a piece of cloth and press it in the stung area fro at least 10-15 minutes. Don’t use the ice directly on the skin.

Clean the area using soap and water and dry gently with towel. Use antibacterial soap to help remove any contamination than could have resulted from the bee sting

To control itching, pain and more allergies; Use antihistamine to cure the itching. You can use it together with pain killers and apply hydrocortisone cream to control allergy reactions.

You can also consider using turmeric powder and rose water instead of the pain killers and the antihistamine. The turmeric powder helps heal the injury and reduces the itching while rose water exceptionally soothes the skin hence relieving it from pain.

If you don’t have this you can use sandalwood powder that has soothing properties and helps relieve the burning sensations caused by the bees sting.

It is always highly advisable to seek advice from doctor if there is severe reaction after the bee sting such as nausea, vomiting and excessive swelling.

Treatment for people showing allergic reactions

People who have allergic reaction show allergic reactions seconds after the bee sting. They show symptoms such as difficulty in breathing, vomiting, lack of consciousness and other related anaphylactic symptoms. These symptoms require immediate emergency medical intervention. Most people who suspect to be having allergic reaction to bee sting usually carry epinephrine injection. Search if the person has this injection and administer the correct dosage. Do not pinch the sting out of the skin, instead scrap it off. Pinching the sting will push more extra venom to the body. Remove the sting immediately to control the amount of venom that will enter the body.

Meat tenderizer is another home remedy that can be used to treat bee sting. Sprinkle generously over the site to reduce the swelling and pain caused by the sting. You can apply honey to relieve the pain also.

Stings to delicate body parts such as the mouth and nose require fast medical attention. This is because they can result to swelling hence causing interrupted breathing.
